1. Field trips for Primary students
For SV Primary Students, Term 3 began with Field Trip activities on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday.
P1 and P2 students visited
and explored the Bangkok
Planetarium on Tuesday, 27
April. P3 and P4 investigated
the Bang Pu Mangrove
Ecosystem in its habitat on
Wednesday, 28 April.
P5 and P6 were amazed by what they saw at the Bangkok Meteorological Department on Thursday,
29 April 2014.
At all 3 venues, the students witnessed, listened and participated in the different activities offered. It
allowed them to experience something beyond their imagination as well as things that captured their
attention because of its uniqueness, wonders and beauty.
The students were chaperoned by Primary Teachers and transportation was arranged by the
Museum Creation Company. When asked about their experience, the majority of the students
enjoyed the Field Trips because it was an opportunity for them to see a new place and at the same
time to learn more about things that may or may not be part of their daily life but which are still
useful in the form of additional knowledge.
2. Weekly Primary Assembly: “Chinese Food, Art and Speech”
The Primary Chinese Teachers coordinated this week’s Primary Assembly with the theme:
“Chinese Food, Art and Speech.”
The assembly began with a
documentary video
presentation entitled “A Bite
of China – the story of staple
food.” This presentation
aimed at creating awareness
among the students regarding
the Chinese staple food and
many diet-related
vocabularies. Traditional
Chinese house special dishes,
kinds of delicious Chinese
snacks and intricate imperial
dishes were included among
other things in the video.
The students were also introduced to the diverse Chinese culture and art. A quiz game tested the
students’ knowledge of Chinese food and culture.
One of the
activities during
assembly focused
on encouraging
the students to
develop a passion
and good habits in
reading and
speaking Chinese.
Students and
teachers also
listened to the
Chinese language
speech program at
the end of the
assembly.

questions from visitors
who stopped by our booth
to inquire about our school,
the SISB Suvarnabhumi
Campus.
Parents who showed interest in our
school were provided with a short
explanation regarding the Singapore
and UK curriculum, as well as the
school calendar and tuition fees chart.
Since the beginning of Term 1, the
Mega Bangna Roadshow is the third
Roadshow for the school since Term 1
of school year 2013 – 2014. The main
purpose of the Roadshow is to create
awareness among families particularly
