Michigan Connections Academy has been selected for a focused monitoring on-site
review related to the provision of special education services for students with
individualized education programs (IEPs) in the 2012-2013 school year. Pursuant to
the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004, §§300.600 and
300.149(a)(1)(2), the Office of Special Education (OSE) must review policies,
procedures, and practices related to the provision of a free and appropriate public
education (FAPE) for students with IEPs.
