Pumpkin Launching Competition Rules

Pumpkin Launching Competition Rules
Build your pumpkin launcher with shorter distances in mind and work on accuracy,
aiming at targets from 50 to 75 yards. Please test your launchers beforehand and
ensure that you can keep your pumpkin within the range specified.
1. Pumpkin launchers must be made out of wood and use medieval technology.
Use of modern propellants, such as gas, air, electricity, etc., is prohibited.
2. A limited use of metal is allowed for high tension areas, such as joints or a bar for
a wooden arm to pivot on.
3. The size of the pumpkin ammo must be at least 10 inches in diameter. You must
supply at least four pumpkins of this size.
4. Competition will be by teams of at least two participants.
5. Name your team and your launcher.
6. Points will be awarded for the general presentation of your launcher.
7. Please keep safety in mind at all times … winning is not worth injuring yourself or
someone else.
Talk to Pastor John Lippard if you have questions. Register to enter the competition
