WOMEN’SFITNESSTESTINGPOLICY

Allofficialsstandingforaninternationalratingorrenewinganinternationalratingarerequiredto
passtwofitnesstests.
Thetestsaretobeadministeredbyamembercountriesrecognisedandapprovedtestingfacilityor
undertheadministrationoftheFILOfficiatingChairpriortoorattheeventwheretheofficialis
receivingtheirassessment.
AllonfieldofficialsmustcompleteeithertheBeepTest(twentymetremultistagefitnesstest)orFIFA
FitnessTest1,followedbytheCooperTest(twelveminuterun).
Amaximum30minutesistobeprovidedbetweentheBeeporFIFA,andtheCooperTest.
TheFILreservetherighttoalterthesetestsinthefutureforagility,flexibility,corestrength,and
speed.Membercountrieswillreceivenoticeofanynewfitnesstestrequirementoneyearpriortothe
initiationofsuchtest.
Usingthetablesshownattheendofthepolicy,officialsneedtopass(basedongenderandage)
either
a)theCooperTestatthe“GoodorVeryGood”levelandtheBeepTestorFIFAFitnessTest1atthe
“Good”levelor
b)theCooperTestatthe“Fair”levelandtheBeepTestorFIFAFitnessTest1atthe“VeryGood”
level.

Anyofficialwhodoesnotpassthefitnesstestaftertwoattemptsattheassessmentvenuewouldnot

Toofficiatetier1games,officialsmustachieveeitherVeryGoodorGoodonalltheirtests.Those
achievingfairorbelow,mayonlyofficiatetiertwoandbelowgames.

Protocol:
The test requires the athlete to run 20m in time with a beep from the audio track recording. The
athletemustplaceonefootonorbeyondthe20mmarkerattheendofeachshuttle.
Ø Theathletewarmsupfor10minutes
Ø A20metresectionistobemeasuredusingatapemeasure,withtheendsclearlydelineated
byconesand wherepossibleasolidline Ø Theaudiotrack,whichtheathletemustbeabletohearforthemselvesistobeplayedfrom
thatstartwhentheparticipants(maximumeight)arereadytogo
Ø Iftheathletearrivesattheendofashuttlebeforethebeep,theathletemustwaitfor the
nextbeepandthenresumerunning Ø Iftheathletefailstoreachtheendoftheshuttlebeforethebeeptheywillbeallowedtwo
furthershuttlestoattempttoregaintherequiredpacebeforebeing withdrawn.Participants
mustbewarnedbytheofficialinchargethattheyareindangerofbeingstoppedand
encouragedto‘getbackontrack;’ Ø Onceeachparticipantstops,theirlevelandnumberofshuttlescompletedmustbeclearly
recordedinwriting

thosewhoareunfamiliarwithrunningand/oradministeringthetest.

gate40maway.
Ø Thesprinttimeisrecorded.Astopwatchisusedtorecordtherecoverytime.
Ø Thesubjecthas1.5minutestoreturnthestart,beforesprintingagain(itisassumedthat each
sprintstartson1min30sec,e.g.3min,4.5min,6minetc.-not1min30sec.
Ø Eachtimeisrecordedandanaverageofthesixrunsisusedfortheathlete
