CVCS has almost come full circle—the feeling of community is similar to the first weeks of August 2001 when Cottonwood Valley Charter School opened its doors. The final prize benefits all of us—a brand new school for all CVCS students! Afterschool Programs resume this week on their regular schedule. r Meet Jeremiah Avery, CVCS Superstar! Age: 12 Grade: 7th Favorites: How many years have you attended CVCS? 8 Born: Socorro Food: buffalo wings Book: The Lego Idea Book Animal: rhino Sport: soccer Color: purple Movie: The Lego Movie Candy Bar: Kitkat TV show: Teen Titans Ice cream: coffee Word: fuzzy Season: fall Sport team: Broncos Jeremiah has two sisters: Meg-30 and Paige-10, and one brother, Tyler-29. He has two cats named Sophie and Knitty. In his free time, Jeremiah likes to play golf, go on the computer, and swim. Jeremiah went to Six Flags over Texas last summer and rode every roller coaster! What would you do if you were trapped in a cave with a crowbar, a firecracker, a jar of peanut butter, a 7’ King snake, and a trumpet? I would use the crowbar to dig my way out. I would eat the peanut butter and snake and play the trumpet for entertainment. I would use the firecracker to scare off predators. When Jeremiah grows up, he wants to be a surgeon. Congratulations, Jeremiah, you are a superstar! Need a Bus to San Miguel? If you would like your child to ride the bus to Cottonwood at San Miguel, call Annabell at 835-0300 to find out all the bussing information. Save the date: Friday, October 30 Just because we don’t have a multi-purpose room doesn’t mean we can’t have the annual Harvest Dance! Same fun, but new location. The dance will be a fundraiser for the library and this year we hope to get even more CVCS Alumni to attend! Friday, Oct. 30 7:00-8:30 pm Start planning your costumes! More information will be in next week’s newsletter.
