Security Awareness 101
An Effective Safety Campaign:
The Cornerstone to Success
PRESENTER: Stephan Salmonson, PPS, President,
PROtective Services, Inc., Mora, MN
Often, companies don't have a lack of desire to take their
safety culture from bad to good, or good to great, they
just lack an effective plan to get them there. Building on
concepts from the "Safe 4 the Right Reasons" presentation,
this session teaches you how to create an effective safety
campaign that not only changes how you look at your own
safety, but also achieves staying power.
“Wow!” “Great!” “Everyone could use this!” are typical
reactions to this popular program. Topics include
identifying and reducing security risks; reactions during
duress; evidence gathering/documentation; effective signage;
interagency reporting; the ABCs of security; three layers of
security; robbery survival; response to angry, shouting and
armed co-workers/clients; explosives recognition; security
equipment (cameras); Emergency Response Procedures
(ERP) and policy/protocols. This program is a must!

did you know that the new rules also make it very difficult to

of incentives and drug testing are allowed under the new rules
that will be enforced starting 11/1/16.

SAY IT WITH HUMOR
Luncheon Speaker: Mark Mayfield, Mayfield Presentations
Known as “The Corporate Comedian,” Mark Mayfield has merged his corporate background as a lobbyist and his
comedic background as a nightclub performer to create an extremely unique style. He has shared the stage with Peter
Frampton, Colin Powell, and Bob Newhart, and has introduced the President of the United States. Raised on a Kansas
farm, he received two degrees from Kansas State University and served as National President of the Future Farmers
of America. From comedy shows to seminars, Mark’s philosophy is simple: say it with humor and people will take the
message home. A national convention planner recently called Mark “one of the very few, really funny, inspiring men in
America today.” (Mark’s mom also said that once after a small bribe.)
