When everyone is lying to you, who do you trust?
Allie Sheridan’s world is falling apart. Her brother has run away from home and she’s just been arrested. Again.
This time her parents have finally had enough. They cut her off from her friends and send her away to a boarding
school for problem teenagers.
But Cimmeria Academy is no ordinary school. Its rules are strangely archaic. It allows no computers or phones. Its
students are an odd mixture of the gifted, the tough and the privileged. And then there’s the secretive Night School,
a secret society whose activities other students are forbidden to even mention.
Following the death of one of the students at the summer ball, Allie begins to discover that the school and her family
are involved in something much darker than she ever imagined.
Why did Allie’s parents lie to her? Who are her enemies? What’s really going on at Cimmeria Academy?

Stripped of her memories, abducted and alone, Kate Winters is on a ship back to Albion in the company of the
vicious Dalliah Grey. The veil over the graveyard city is weakening. Shades are spreading through the streets, and
the Skilled are falling into madness, forced to turn upon each other to survive.
Silas Dane has escaped Dalliah’s trap upon the Continent. Now, he must hunt Kate down before she is forced to
finish her ancestors’ plan to merge the worlds of the living and the dead. He must return to Fume, defend the city he
has sworn to serve from a Continental invasion no one believes is coming, and shield it from the encroaching
darkness that lies beyond the grave.
Old secrets linger within the ancient stones of Fume’s twisting streets. Silas is torn between his duty to his country
and the price of an ally’s life, while Kate faces a terrifying choice amidst the chaos of Albion’s darkest night: one that
will shape the future of Albion, and may well cost her her soul.
LEGACY is the third book in this delightful trilogy. Filled with magic and danger, Kate’s life is on the line will she be the saviour of Albion?

SHORTLISTED FOR THE CARNEGIE MEDAL AND THE BOOKTRUST
TEENAGE PRIZE 2009
Nobody would have taken her for a killer...
The funny thing is, I never even meant the first one… Now I bitterly regret visiting the cursed witch’s house, deep in
the middle of the forest. It’s where I made my wishes.
I wished Klara Klein dead. It came true.
I wished for the most gorgeous boy in town to finally notice me. It came true.
I wished to be rid of the poisonous busybody who destroyed my family. It came true.
I didn't mean for this to happen. Not me, Steffi Nett, the shy one who never says anything. But as the body count
increases with every wish I make… who else could it be?

Praise for Helen Grant:
‘The excellent writing, and the eschewing of anything remotely winsome or mawkish, make this an eerily subtle
literary page-turner. Wonderful.’
The Guardian
‘Well-plotted and beautifully written, it is everything a young adult novel should be.
‘For something so chilling, it is terrific entertainment.’
