A Fling at Ars Nova Rental Rate Sheet The Ars Nova Fling program is the way Ars Nova interacts with producers and artists who are interested in more than just a “four-­‐wall” rental of our theater and green room. The Fling rental program is geared towards multi-­‐week productions, workshops, and developmental activities. Rentals participating in the Fling program can select from a menu of consultation and select services from Ars Nova’s in house marketing, general, and production management departments, artistic consultation, as well as the opportunity to bill their production as “An Ars Nova Fling” occurring at “Theater 511 at Ars Nova”. Theater and Green Room Rental For Profit Non-­‐Profit Weekly Fling Rental Rate $5,300 $4,900 This cost includes the theater and green room space as well as Ars Nova’s standard technical inventory, which is available on request. This cost also includes one 4-­‐hour work call each for two Ars Nova technicians required to be present for the production’s initial load-­‐in and the final load-­‐out. All utilities are included. Additional Required Rental Costs: Security Deposit Standard One time payment Weekly rental fee This cost is held in security by Ars Nova and will be returned in full barring damages or costs that occur to Ars Nova as a result of the rental and not previously negotiated. Front of House Labor and Ticketing Software Standard Per public performance $200 This cost includes Ars Nova’s House Manager, Box Office Manager, and the use of the Ars Nova ticketing service. Renters will retain net profits from ticket sales after deductions of the system’s facility fee and credit card fees, which are retained by Ars Nova. Building Coverage/Security Standard Weekly $525 This cost provides access to the Ars Nova building and spaces during the rental period and includes a designated Ars Nova representative to supervise activity on the premises. Additional Cleaning Standard Per day outside of Ars Nova’s $200 standard schedule The custodial team will come in every day that the building is used, and Ars Nova will cover the costs during regular Office days (Monday-­‐Friday) but this charge will be applied for any weekend day that the venue is used by the renter. Additional Services Available only for Flings: Marketing Support Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 One time payment $1,000 $2,500 $4,000 The Level 1 marketing support includes placement on the Ars Nova website of production’s key art and a ticketing link. The Level 2 marketing support includes the above, one dedicated eblast to the Ars Nova patron list and inclusion on two additional eblasts that will occur during the rental period. The Level 3 marketing support includes the above, dedicated social media posts from Ars Nova’s social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) and consultation on a marketing and media plan with Ars Nova’s in-­‐house marketing team. Optional Services Available only for Flings: General Management Support Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Ars Nova in-­‐house financial tracking $2,000 $4,000 $6,000 The Level 1 GM support includes template contracts for necessary technical, administrative and creative personnel and/or companies hired by the renter. Ars Nova will provide consultation to the renter regarding the negotiation and revision of these template contracts. The Level 2 GM support includes the above and the assistance in providing weekly reports to AEA and the filing of contracts with SDC and USA if applicable. Ars Nova will advise on union compliance throughout the rental period. The Level 3 GM support includes the above and financial tracking including payroll, operating expenses and equipment rentals of the production after consultation with the renter of specific terms. Production Management Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 One-­‐time payment $2,000 $4,000 $8,000 The Level 1 PM support includes consultation on a production calendar. A member of the Ars Nova PM team will attend two production meetings to help trouble-­‐shoot production issues. The Ars Nova PM will be present to help supervise load in and strike. The Level 2 PM support includes all of the above in addition to coordinating communication with the design team, consultation on production budget, assistance hiring departmental labor and assistance coordinating rental and build packages with theatrical design shops. The Level 3 PM support includes full production management support including a PM and APM for the production including the creation and maintenance of a production calendar and budget. The PM and/or APM will attend all production meetings, track expenses, supervise technical departments, hire department heads and crew and negotiate bids with scenic shops and rental houses. Artistic Support Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 One-­‐time payment $2,000 $4,000 $8,000 The Level 1 Artistic support includes and introduction to an Ars Nova affiliated creative consultant who will review the project and engage in two consultation meetings to provide creative feedback and assist in mapping out a timeline for artistic development through opening night of the production. The Level 2 Artistic support includes all of the above as well as ongoing support from the creative consultant who will make introductions to potential collaborators (if needed) and facilitate creative team meetings. The consultant will attend two rehearsals and two preview performances to provide further feedback and guidance. The Level 3 Artistic support includes all of the above as well as targeted outreach by the creative consultant to industry members inviting them to a performance on behalf of the production’s creators/producers/management. (Consultant cannot guarantee attendance) The creative consultant will also advise on post-­‐production next steps for the project, which may include further outreach to theater administrations and industry members to introduce the project and broker the exchange of materials for interested parties.
