Frequently Asked
Questions
What is the snow windrow?
The snow windrow is the pile of snow left
at the bottom of a driveway after the snow
plow has cleared the road.
When will my snow be cleared?
Typically the roads and municipal
sidewalks are cleared on the first day after
the snowfall ends.
On the second day after the snowfall
ends, if another snowfall or drifting doesn’t
occur, staff start to clear the windrows and
sidewalks of those addresses registered in
this program.
Example:
If snow fall occurs on a Monday all roads
and municipal sidewalks are cleared. If
no further snow falls or drifting occurs,
windrow and sidewalk clearing will be
completed by late Tuesday.
Windrow
