POOL RULES 1. You must have a swimsuit with you to enter the pool. Only swimsuits may be worn in the pool. No gym shorts allowed. 2. Head to toe shower is required before entering the pool. 3. Anyone 7 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at least 16 years of age. The adult must be within arm’s reach of child at all times. If the child is in the water, the adult/guardian is to be in the water at all times unless the child can pass the swim test issued by a lifeguard 4. No large inner tubes, rafts, water wings or noodles allowed in the facility. GCRC has inner tubes available for rent. Inner tubes are not to be rented to youth 7 years and younger. Flotation devices for youth 7 & under who cannot pass a swim test must have a bottom (seat). 5. No running. No horseplay. 6. No smoking. No alcohol. 7. No loitering. No littering. 8. All children 16 years of age or younger must pass the swim test to go to the deep end or on the slides. Patrons over 16 may be requested to pass a swim test at the lifeguard’s discretion. 9. No disposable diapers or cloth diapers are allowed in the pool. Swim diapers are available to purchase in the pool house. 10. Persons with open sores or communicable diseases are not permitted in the pool. 11. The Big Pool is not responsible for theft or loss of valuables. 12. Food is allowed only in the eating area. 13. No coolers, glass containers or outside food and drinks are allowed in the facility. 14. The use of alcohol, tobacco products, or other drugs is not allowed on GCRC property. This includes the parking lot. 15. Pool breaks will be called every 90 minutes. No patrons allowed in the water during this time. 16. The pool will be cleared 15 minutes prior to closing time. ELEPHANT POOL RULES 1. A parent or adult must actively supervise children 7 years of age and under in the play area at all times. Children 5 years of age and under must be directly accompanied by an “in-water” adult. 2. Slide one at a time in a forward seated position, feet first. For safety reasons, please do not place children on laps. DO NOT slide headfirst. 3. No climbing up, or stopping on slides. 4. Please exit the slide landing area immediately. 5. Please walk; horseplay is not allowed. 6. The floatables and slides in the Elephant Pool are designed and intended for use by small children and toddlers only. 7. Weight limits are not to exceed 125 total pounds on any one component at a time. SPRAY PARK RULES 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Climbing on features is prohibited. Individuals with diarrhea should not enter Spray Park. Spray features use recirculated water. Do not drink the water. Animals are prohibited on and/or near Spray Park. Contamination of spray area is prohibited including urination, discharge of fecal matter, spitting & nose blowing. 6. No food, drink or glass containers allowed in area. 7. All riders must be at least 48” tall. Riders must lie on their backs at all times. Sitting up while riding the slide is prohibited. Maximum rider weight 300 pounds. Do not pull or propel yourself into the flume. No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets. No jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. Cut-off jeans and gym shorts are prohibited. Only approved swimwear is permitted. Swimwear with zippers, buckles, rivets or any other metal ornamentation won’t be allowed on slides. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the slide attendant stationed at the slide starter tub. All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed across their chest. Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no chains of riders permitted. No tubes, mats, or life jackets permitted on the slide. Line will form on the deck with one rider on each landing, and one rider in the starter tub. Wait until plunge pool is clear before proceeding. Riders must be in good health. Individuals with medical conditions including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart or back problems should not ride. Do not use the slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Follow the instructions of the slide attendant. No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. No diving from the slides of the plunge pool. Leave the plunge pool promptly after entering. Non-swimmers are not permitted on the slide. All children 16 years of age or younger must pass the swim test to go on the slides. DIVING BOARD/DEEP SLIDE RULES 1. No swimming allowed in the diving well. 2. Patrons 16 & under must pass swim test to use diving boards and deep water slides. Patrons over 16 may be requested to pass a swim test at the lifeguard’s discretion. 3. Divers must be comfortable in deep water. Divers may be asked to perform a swim test. 4. No goggles, masks or floatation devices allowed off board. 5. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. 6. Walk to end of board. 7. Only one bounce on board. 8. Divers must jump or dive straight off board (no back dives, back flips, back jumps, etc.). 9. Divers must enter water with both arms over head. 10. Please use the nearest ladder to exit the diving well.
