I
nflatable furniture has its origins in
the late sixties - early 1970’s when
Quasar Khanh draws the first
inflatable furniture.
At that time, young people villify
traditional buildings architecture,
considered
the
hallmark
of
conservative values ​​in opposition
to nomadism : sign of freedom and
progress. They curse the right angle
seen as a constraint and love the
curve, symbol of all the libertarian
virtues. They promote tolerance
and openness, bear ample clothing
and love flexible phrasing and the
distorted sounds of Jimi Hendrix:
they are called the Hippies. They
are the early adopters of inflatable
furniture !
Mobility,
transformation
and
transparency are synonyms of a
more open world. Yet for 40 years,
the inflatable furniture will be let
