CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE CONTESTANT AGREEMENT
THIS Agreement, is made between Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Properties, Inc., (“PRCAP”) a
Colorado corporation located at 101 Pro Rodeo Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919 and
________________________ (“Contestant”). PRCAP is the exclusive agent of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association, Inc, a Colorado nonprofit corporation ("PRCA"), with respect to certain matters covered by this
Agreement.
WHEREAS Contestant desires to participate in the rodeo series known as the Champions Challenge; and
WHEREAS PRCAP is producing the Champions Challenge and desires to contract with Contestant to
participate in the Champions Challenge; therefore
The parties agree as follows:
PRCAP Obligations/Commitments:
1.
PRCAP or its designate will provide the opportunity for Contestant to participate in a series of
made for television championship rodeos that will be broadcast on television to showcase top
athletes, stock and rodeos of the PRCA. This event will be known as the Champions Challenge.
2.
The ten (10) events for 2016 will be held at the following locations and dates. This agreement is
specific to all events below:
Rapid City, SD.......................... February 3
Scottsdale, AZ ......................... February 28
Redding, CA ............................ May 21
Spanish Fork, UT ..................... June 4
Kissimmee, FL………………..June 11
Salt Lake City………………….July 19
Cody, WY .......................... August 14
Kennewick, WA ................ August 23
Pueblo, CO........................ August 31
Omaha, NE (Finale) .......... September 22

PRCAP or its designate will produce the Champions Challenge as a one-head performance rodeo
consisting of eleven (11) teams of eight (8) contestants in each of the standard rodeo events for
each team, team roping considered one event, and barrel racing.
4.
PRCAP or its designate will invite eligible PRCA and WPRA contestants based upon the following
parameters:
4.1
The eleven (11) teams will include seven (7) “Sponsor” teams and four (4) “Rotational”
teams.
4.2
The Sponsor teams will be partially drafted and partially filled by rotation as follows:

4.2.1 From the top fifteen (15) eligible contestants from the year-end 2015 PRCA
and/or WPRA World Standings each Sponsor team will draft two (2) “franchise
contestants” from any separate events they choose and also randomly draw two
additional event contestants, giving them a total of four (4) drafted contestants. These
four contestants will participate in all 2016 Champions Challenge events for the team
that drafted them. For purposes of the draft, the team roping event will count as one
position.
4.2.2 The remaining three (3) contestant positions will be filled by each team, prior to
Rotational Team selections, based upon the remaining top eligible 2016 PRCA and/or
WPRA World Standings 30 days prior to each Champions Challenge rodeo. For only the
Rapid City and Scottsdale Champions Challenges, these contestant positions will be
based upon year-end 2015 PRCA and/or WPRA World Standings. Team roping will count
as one position.
4.3
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Coors team will be allowed to draft all seven (7)
contestant positions, will keep the same team members all season and will not be subject
to the above requirement to rotate team members.
4.4
The four (4) Rotational Teams will have all contestant positions filled by the next highest
unselected eligible contestants in the PRCA and/or WPRA 2016 World Standings 30 days
prior to each Champions Challenge rodeo.
4.5
Any eligible contestant who does not elect to execute this agreement prior to the first
draft or participate if drafted or otherwise selected, cannot later participate in any
subsequent 2016 Champions Challenge Sponsor or Rotational teams or rodeos.
5.
Each Champions Challenge will pay $16,000 per event (equal money in the TR) with money paid
in each placing 1 through 5. Each Champions Challenge confirmed contestant will receive a $400
appearance fee, which is allocated from the $16,000 per event, should all requirements and
contractual obligations be met.
6.
Per Rule R1.6.2.1 of the PRCA Rulebook and, for barrel racers, WPRA rule 10.4.1.8 each Champions
Challenge Event will be counted as an “Official Entry” rodeo unless contestant designates it as an
“Unofficial Entry Rodeo” at time of competition confirmation or unless contestant has previously
met the maximum number of allowable “Official Entry” rodeos.
Contestant Obligations/Commitments:
1. Contestant will appear and compete at the Champions Challenge event(s) covered by this Agreement.
2. Turn-outs, other than with a valid physician’s release, will disqualify Contestant from further
participation in Champions Challenge events for the current year.

3. If Contestant does not participate for any reason after contract is executed, he or she will be replaced
by the next athlete in order of the current season PRCA and/or WPRA World Standings (30 days prior
to each event).
4. Contestants must wear a solid-colored Team Sponsor Shirt, Champions Challenge patch and (2) Team
Sponsor patches during competition.
5. Contestant will participate in PRCAP or its designee’s promotional events and autograph signings.
6. Unless directed otherwise by PRCAP or its designate, Contestant will be physically on site at the event
location no later than 12 p.m. (noon) the day of designated Champions Challenge event.
7. To the extent not in conflict with the specifics of this Agreement, Contestant will be subject to and
bound by all other PRCA agreements, Rules, Regulations and event Ground Rules, just as when
participating in any other PRCA sanctioned event.
8. Contestant agrees and acknowledges that he/she is not an employee of PRCAP, PRCA or its designates.
