Pre-Qualification:-A) Firm shall be able to produce the work order completed for transportation of stores
during last 07 years in either of the following options:
(i) One completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 3.50 Lacs each.
(ii)Two completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 2.20 Lacs each.
(iii)Three completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 1.75 Lacs each.
B) Average annual financial turnover ending 31st march of the previous three financial years
should be at least 30% of the estimated cost.
C)Transporter will confirm that they will transport goods through registered common carriers
only.

Special Terms & Conditions for Transportation of Stores
Truck should be of sound condition with National Permit or with permits for states through which vehicles are pass
for safe and trouble free movement en route to the destination with all road papers establishing worthiness . The
transporter will place truck on a very short notice over telephone as and when required max. 24 hours in advance.
Transporter’s driver (s) must have valid driving license/licenses for class of vehicles /trucks to be driven by them.
The transporter must ensure detailment of competent representative for verification of items, quantity at loading
point and its receipt at consignor end delivery of items quantity at consignee end.
The Transporter to furnish indemnity Bond on Stamp Paper duly authenticated by Govt. Notary to undertake
liability of full compensation during transit losses/damages, short delivery /non delivery of the government
consignment and he will be fully responsible for safe and correct delivery of consignment at destination to
consignee. They will be fully liable for any accident and untoward incidents to the vehicle/driver/helpers/defense
stores. Any damage/loss of store, packing will be made good by the contractor. Any eventualities during
transportation would be to the account of transporter.
Freight charges quoted should be inclusive of loading & unloading by the transporter at either side . Sufficient
labourers will be provided by the transporter for quick loading/release of truck at either end.
Undertaking to be given by transporter that no transshipment of consignment will be done en-route except in the
case of accident /breakdown of the vehicle and no other consignment would be transported along with the
defence consignment , failing which transporter would be liable of cancellation of registration.
Transporter must ensure that loaded stores are delivered to the consignee within time frame as mutually agreed.
Utmost care must be taken for safe and timely delivery of defence stores to the consignee. All the contractual
obligations should be compiled for safe and timely delivery of consignment to consignee.
Transshipment is strictly not allowed. In case of transshipment, an amount fifty percent of trip freight charges to be
deducted from transporter bill. In case delivery of stores is made beyond the time specified, an amount of Rs.500/per day per truck will be recovered from transporter’s bill. However, under extreme circumstances like dislocation
of road traffic, riot, land slide and natural calamity etc. transshipment/delay in delivery beyond specified time-limit
may be allowed subject to production of documentary evidence that deviation was due to genuine reasons beyond
the control of the transporter.
The vehicle no. may be indicated on LR/GR . The receipt of consignment at consignee end be the same vehicle to
be acknowledged and firm’s bill may be released accordingly after confirmation of receipt of material in good
condition.
Confirmation of delivery of consignment in full to the consignee must be given in writing by the transporter within
three days from the date of delivery to the consignor. LR/GR duly received as per voucher details and signed by
store officer with stamp of consignee factory to be obtained.
Payment will be released only when the consignee confirms the receipt of full quantity of material in SAFE AND
UNTEMPERED condition.
Cantonment charges, if any, will be borne by the contractor.
Delivery Period: 12 months from the date of supply order.
Ordnance factory, Kanpur reserves the right to increase quantity at the same rate, terms and conditions up to 50%
of the ordered quantity, and matching delivery period.
Transportation / delivery of consignment shall be sole /Complete responsibility of the transporter keeping in
view restriction of civil areas as well as cantonment areas of Kanpur.
16. In case firm fails to supply the vehicles as per requirement of the user as per TE , vehicles may be hired on
commercial basis by the factory and the difference in amount if the charges on found higher would be charged
to the firm.
17.The Driver must have mobile telephone during transport and inform the same to the factory before leaving.
18.In case the firm provides higher tonnage capacity truck, proportional payment will be made accordingly .
