On Sunday, 3 January, the Cathedral Choir will sing Missa Secunda by Hans Leo Hassler at the 11:15am Mass. Hassler (1564-1612) was a German composer and organist of the late Renaissance and early Baroque eras. Although he was Protestant, he had Catholic patrons and wrote several Masses and directed the music for Catholic services in Augsburg. His Missa Secunda is compsed for four voices.
