William H. “Bill” Storms
75, a resident of Illinois Chapel Community
near Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away
Monday morning, May 19, 2003 in Prairie
Grove. He was born September 21, 1927 at
Pleasant Hill, Missouri the son of Everett and
Lucille Vinsant Storms.
He graduated from the Pleasant Hill High
School in 1944 and attended Kansas City,
Kansas Junior College before he entered the
United States Air Force. Bill was employed by
Sealtest Dairy before joining Prudential
Insurance Company where he became a staff
manager and member of the Million Dollar
Round Table. Bill moved to Prairie Grove in
1961 after becoming disabled. He started a
cattle and chicken ranch that grew into
Storms Agri. Enterprises Inc., which he
operated with his sons. He was an active
member of the Sertoma Club, Cattlemen’s
Association and a long time Razorback Club
member.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary
Alice (McManaway) Storms, three loving sons and daughters-in-law, Steven R. and
Shirley Storms of Tacoma, Washington, Michael D. and Johanna Storms of Siloam
Springs, Arkansas and Patrick H. and Penny Storms also of Siloam Springs,
Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Shannon Storms, and Drew Storms of Tacoma,
Washington, David Storms and Dr. Darrin Storms of Memphis, Tennessee, Jarrod
Storms, Daniel Storms and Rob Storms of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one brother, Bob
Storms of Hart, Missouri.
His two sisters, Mary Ellen Shimel and Ina Beggs preceded Bill in death and one
brother, Wayne A. Storms.
