Special Guest Speaker Bertha D. Josephson is a recently retired Massachusetts Superior Court Judge who served in that capacity from 1994-2016. During that time, she was Regional Administrative Judge for four western counties and was active in judicial leadership programs such as new judges’ trainings, the Commonwealth’s probationary advisory committee, and the SJC’s jury selection initiative. Judge Josephson is a graduate of Skidmore College and Western New England University’s School of Law. She has taught Trial Advocacy at WNEU School of Law and Harvard Law School. She is the author of WNEU's Law Journal’s "Women and Ethics" and co-author of "Legal Needs and Issues of Female Inmates." She is a recipient of the Massachusetts Judges Conference Presidents Award and the Massachusetts Bar Association's Public Service Award.
