Audience:
Well and facility licensees.
Purpose:
This tip is intended to remind well and facility licensees to use the
correct format for inputting well and facility licence numbers into
the Registry and thereby avoid error messages.
Key Principles:
Well licence
A well licence is a unique licence issued by the EUB for a well. It
is not the same as a facility licence.
Facility licence
A facility licence is issued by the EUB to all oil and gas related
facilities. It is not the same as the Facility ID issued by the
Registry.
Procedures:
Correct well licence format: W1234567 Note: even though
lookups show the licence without the W prefix, you must include
the W prefix when you input it.
