ICSA After School Activities
Registration and Permission Form
Dear ICSA Parents,
The Second semester of the After School Activities Program will take place from
Monday, February 2 to Friday, May 29 . Some of the activities have a fee to cover
instructional costs of non-ICSA personnel, and or materials/supplies for the activity.
Payment for all activities is made in the Business Office, and they will stamp the form
indicating receipt of payment. This needs to be done before the form is turned in.

Carefully review the attached list and the activity description with your child. Then
complete and return the Registration Form to homeroom teacher / advisor by Friday,
January 23th.
Please pay particular attention to the appropriate grade level. Registration forms must
be returned to school with a parent signature in order to be valid. All activities are on a
first come-first served basis and there are some limitations due to the space. Final lists
for activity will be posted by Monday, January 26th.
All students are encouraged to participate in at least one activity. It is not necessary to
fill in an activity for each day.
Parents are responsible for taking their child to and from the Ivoire Golf Club for
Swimming and Golf and to the Golf Hotel for Tennis.

ICSA Gardening Club // 3rd – 5th Grade // 15 Students Only
Friendship Bracelet Club // 3rd – 5th Grade // 16 Students Only
Come and learn how to make a variety of friendship bracelets. No prior
experience required. Make one for yourself, make one to share with your
friends.
The Study Corner // 5th Grade // 15 Students Only
The Study Corner is a place for Upper School students (5th - 12th) where
they can study and do their homework.
Students will also be able to get extra help in French.
LS Homework Club // 3rd – 5th Grade // 12 Students
The homework club is especially helpful for students who have some
difficulty with their school work or do better work with supervision. Mr.
Wittig will explain and assist difficult work.
Swimming Club - Lower School // 25 Students // PK – 5th Grade
Coach Alexandre and Ms. Pierce will teach basic swimming skills and
water safety. Classes will be formed based on swimming level and age of
registered students. * Parents are responsible for taking their child to
and from the Golf Club. Fees: CFA 56.000 per semester.
Violin // PK – 5th Grade // 20 Students
This after school program will aim to teach violin to a mixed age group,
using the principles of the well-known Suzuki Method of music learning.
*Students must have their own violin. Fees: CFA 65.000 per
semester.
The purpose of the Gardening Club is to promote the love of gardening,
enrich the lives of students, and increase awareness of ecology, botany,
outdoor recreation and conservation.
Throughout the semester we will learn how to save seeds, grow flowers,
vegetables and herbs.
Practices for organic and sustainable gardening will be emphasized.
Regular farmers markets will be held as our garden produce matures. The
farmers’ market is aimed at promoting environmental literacy, numeracy,
and 'enterprise and entrepreneurial skills' as the students develop new
skills such as project planning, money handling and marketing. This will
also help students gain a better understanding of where their food comes
from. Proceeds of the farmers market will be used to buy seeds for the
next growing season and also buy plants to beautify the school campus.
* Children are required to bring a hat and some sun screen.
Tennis // 8 Students Only // 2nd – 5th Grade
Coach Edgar will teach fundamentals of tennis and explain the rules of the
game. * Parents will be responsible for transporting their child to and
from the Golf Hotel. Students must have their own tennis balls and

Lower School Ensemble // 1st – 5th Grade // 20 Students
L. S. E. is a band composed of recorders, bells, and xylophones as well as
different kinds of African percussion instruments. All students in grades 15 are welcome to join L.S.E.!
Judo // 1st – 5th Grade
Judo is a Japanese martial art form which focusses in balance, relaxation
and fun. * Required judo uniform:15.000 CFA Fees: 65.000 CFA
Video Game Programming // 3rd – 5th Grade // 20 Students
In Video Game Programming activity, you will learn the computer
language to code programs and games. During this fun activity, you will
learn: Conditionals, Algorithms, Binary code, Debugging, Societal impacts
of computing and more...By the end of the activity, you will be able to
create interactive games or stories that you can share with anyone.
Basketball Lower School // 3rd – 5th Grade // 20 Students Max
The activity will consist of coaching and teaching the following skills:
dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and footwork. Students will also be
exposed to the rules of the game. They should expect to be engaged and
challenged physically and mentally due to the fast nature of the sport.
After the fundamentals have been taught students will practice various
drills that will ultimately prepare them for a game time situation.
Lower School Student Council // 1st – 5th Grade
Lower School Student Council provides an opportunity for students to
learn leadership skills and to put those skills into practice. These students
were elected in 1st semester and will continue their service through the
end of the year.
Cooking Club // 3rd – 5th Grade // 20 Students Max
The cooking club is a fun activity where students have hands-on
gastronomic experience. Students learn to work together, take turns, and
encourage their classmates during the process of preparing delicious food.
They also practice basic math skills like counting, weighting, measuring
and estimating with every recipe. Fee: 5.000 CFA
Lower School Chess // 3rd – 5th Grade // 12 Students Max
Come learn to play chess or come to perfect your game. Students of all
ability levels are welcome
Arts and Crafts for PK and KG // 12 Students Only
Students will be using various objects such as sand and found objects to
create arts and crafts.
Mini sports // 15 Students only // Pre K – 1st Grade
Come and stay active one hour after school. We will run, jump,
do gymnastics, learn the basics of big sports and play some games
together in different corners of our campus. Everything will start and end in
the Lower School Art classroom.* Water bottle, extra snacks for this
day and sport shoes are required.
Dance // 3rd – 5th Grade
Storytelling for PK and KG students // 12 Students only
Dance class exposes students to the joy of dance through movement,
creative exercises, and the exploration of dance styles. Fee: 64.000 CFA
Storytelling-Teachers will facilitate reading stories to students and
engaging them in retelling the stories using drawings, props, puppets,
costumes, songs and movement. Students will also have an opportunity to
create their own stories and act it out in a puppet show or through drama.
We will talk about the main idea of the story and the children will share
what they learned from the story.
Golf Lower School // PK – 5th Grade
Designed to enhance your child’s golf skills and knowledge. Use of a wide
variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to reinforce the concepts and
to keep the energy level and excitement growing. * Parents will be
responsible for transporting their child to and from the Golf Club.

Capoeira // 1st – 5th Grade
Capoeira is a Brazilian Martial Art that mixes dance, music, and
acrobatics. It provides exercise while developing coordination, rhythm and
teamwork. Students will be taught by an instructor from Ecole Capoeira
Owlave—Maison du Bresil. 45,000 CFA
Ballet // KG – 4th Grade
The goal of this class is to impart the fundamentals of classical ballet. This
class focuses on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French
terminology and musicality. Fee: 45.000 CFA
Alphabet Challenge Activity // 10 Students // 4th – 5th Grade
It's a fun group word game exercise to encourage thinking about leisure
outside of one's normal routine. The outcomes are fun, group
accomplishment, broader thinking about leisure and sparking motivation
for participation.
Yoga // 3rd – 5th Grade
Yoga will introduce young students to the world asanas, breathing
exercises and ways of calming the mind and the body. Students will
practice the cat, down dog, up dog, child's pose, bridge, plank, frog,
butterfly and many other asanas as well a super gentle child oriented
vinyasa flow!FEE: 65.000 CFA
Creative Movement // 5th Grade
Creative movement will ask students to open the doors to their own
creativity. The class will introduce students’ improvisation, movement
research and bodily creativity. They will be introduced as well to making
their movements in response to world music, stories, sounds and poetry.

Piano // 4 Students Only// 4th – 5th Grade
Piano class is an exciting and informative introduction to piano and music
skills for beginning level music students, but most importantly to instill in
the student a genuine love and appreciation for music.
Boys Soccer // 3rd - 5th Grade
The emphasis is on teaching the soccer fundamentals within a fun
learning environment. Fun games and activities are utilized in continuing
player development.
Girls Soccer //3rd - 5th Grade
The emphasis is on teaching the soccer fundamentals within a fun
learning environment. Fun games and activities are utilized in continuing
player development.
Primary School Soccer // 1st – 2nd Grade
Emphasis is placed on introducing players to the game of soccer through
fun games and activities that are easy to explain and simple to follow.
