Lompoc Public Library Hosts “Happy Birthday Charlotte’s Web Bilingual
Storytime”
Event marks first birthday of Charlotte’s Web Mobile Children’s Library, as well as National
Bookmobile Day
LOMPOC, CA, April 4, 2017 – Charlotte’s Web, our Lompoc mobile children’s library, is
turning one and we invite our community to help us celebrate the occasion with a bilingual story
time.
The City of Lompoc’s Happy Birthday Charlotte’s Web Bilingual Storytime will be held on
Wed. April 12, which is also fittingly National Bookmobile Day 2017. The event takes place
during National Library Week, running April 9 through 15.
The Happy Birthday Charlotte’s Web Bilingual Storytime will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on
the lawn of Lompoc Public Library, 501 E. North Ave. The occasion is geared towards pre-K to
elementary school-age children, and will include the reading of stories in both English and
Spanish. Participants will also sing the bookmobile “Happy Birthday” in both English and
Spanish.
After story time, attendees will be invited to build a paper bookmobile and enjoy cupcakes.
