1. Write on and decorate all 12 pieces as described below:

1 side = print the title (in an interesting and colorful font), author, and
YOUR name and then add a colored decoration. 5 points
•
1 side = write 5-6 sentences describing the setting. 10 points
•
3 sides = draw a picture on each side of 3 important events in the story
with captions. (What's the picture about?) 2-3 sentences. 15 points
•
3 sides = draw one character on each side with an explanation of who
they are and a description of their personality. 4 sentences for each
character (What are they like?). 20 points
•
1 side= Conflict- 4 sentences about the main problem in the story.10

1 side= Solution- How was the conflict settled? 5-6 sentences.10 points

1 side= Theme/Message (What does the author want you to
remember?) 4-5 sentences. 10 points
•
1 side= Recommendation (Would you tell your friends to read it?) 4-5

Cut out the 12 circles, fold the 5 segments on the dashed lines 90
degrees so they face toward you from the side you wrote or drew on for each
of the twelve pieces.

Accurately glue the 12 pieces together at the flaps to complete the
dodecahedron.
