Trade discount = rate x list price 35 Trade discount = 100 × 120 = 42$ It means that the wholesaler or retailer will NOT pay $42 of the $120 list price. Example 2: -Find the net price for a laptop that retails at $430 and has a trade discount rate of 15%. Solution: Trade Discount = 430× 0.15 = $64.5 Net price 430 − 64.5 = $365.5 The net price using Complement of percent:Complement of percent = 100% - single trade discount rate Net Price = list price x complement of percent Complement of percent في مسائل يطلب منك استخدام نستخدم قانون Complement of percent = 100% - single trade discount Net Price = list price x 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑡 100 Net Price اذا نكتشف االن ان هناك طريقتين الستخراج الـ Complement of percent اذا ما طلب استخدامtrade mark باستخدام-1 . وهذي الطريقة ممكن نستخدمها بشكل عام ان طلب او لم يطلبComplement of percent استخدام-2 By: Ahmed Taqi Twitter: @ahmedTaqi81 Email:[email protected] Mob. 98099996 Example: Find the net price of a coffee maker that lists for $50 and has a trade discount rate of 35%. Solution: Complement of percent = 100% - single trade discount rate Complement of percent = 100 – 35 =65% Net Price = list price x complement of percent 65 Net Price = 50 x = 32.5$ 100 If the item has three discounts of 20%, 10%, and 5%, can you add them together and apply 35% discount? The answer is NO , you will do it series . Example 2: - An item lists for $400 and has a discount of 20% ,10%, 5% Find the Net اذا عطاك نسب مختلفة للخصومات على نفس المبلغ بشكل متوالي يتم الخصم بشكل منفرد بعملية منفصلة Price 1Trade discount = $400 × 0.2 = $80 Net Price = $400 − $80 = $320 An additional discount of 10% is taken on the previous price مثال Trade discount = $400 × 0.2 = $80 Net Price = $400 − $80 = $320 الناتج وتتم عليه العملية من جديدnet price ويتم استخدام على المبلغ الجديد Complement of percent األفضل استخدام 2Trade discount = $320 × 0.1 = $32 Net Price = $320 − $32 = $288 Complement of percent of 20% = 100-20 =80/100 =0.8 An additional discount of 5% is taken on the previous price. Complement of percent of 20% = 100-5 =95/100 =0.95 Complement of percent of 10% = 100-10 =90/100 =0.9 3Trade discount = $288 × 0.05 = $14.40 Net Price= $288 − $14.40 = $273.60 Other solution: For the best way, we use the complement of percent and multiply together. Complement of percent (Net decimal 𝟖𝟎 𝟗𝟎 𝟗𝟓 equivalent) = 𝒙 𝒙 = 0.684 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝟏𝟎𝟎 By: Ahmed Taqi Net Price = 0.684 x 400$ = 273.6$ Twitter: @ahmedTaqi81 Email:[email protected] Mob. 98099996 Net Price = Net decimal equivalent × list price Example: A dress shirt lists for $125 and has a trade discount series of 15, 10, and 7.5. Find the Net price Complement of percent 𝑎 − 100% − 15% = 85% 𝑏 − 100% − 10% = 90% 𝑐 − 100% − 7.5% = 92.5% 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑡 (𝑁𝑒𝑡 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑡) = 𝟖𝟓 𝟗𝟎 𝟗𝟐. 𝟓 𝒙 𝒙 = 𝟎. 𝟕𝟎𝟕𝟔𝟐𝟓 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝟏𝟎𝟎 Net Price = 0.707625 x 125$ = 88.45 $ Solve : 1- A company orders $12,000 of office supplies. The series discount offered by the seller is 10%, 7% and 2.5%. Find the net price. 2- A company orders $30,000 of office supplies. The series percentage discount offered by the seller is 15%, 17.75% and 5%. Find the single equivalent discount rate. 3- Find the net price for an iPhone that retails at $550 and has a trade discount rate of 30%. Without use complement of percent.
