CONTRACT BASIS: 40% Oil, 10% Moisture, 25 lb. Test Weight
Oil:
PREMIUM:
+2% of the contract price (c/p) for each 1% over 40%.
DISCOUNT:
-2.5% of the c/p for each 1% under 40% to 38%
-3% of the c/p for each 1% under 38% to 32%
-4% of c/p each 1% under 32%
- This will be prorated if fraction.
Moisture:
-2.0% of the c/p for each 1% over 10% to 14%
-3.0% of the c/p for each 1% over 14% to 16%
Over 16% will be subject to rejection, if accepted:
-4.0% of the c/p for each 1% over 16%.
-All prorated if a fraction.
Test Weight:
-1% of the c/p for each .5 pound under 25 pounds
Heat Damage:
.5% is allowed, discount from the c/p of 3% for every 1% over the .5%
up to 2%. OVER 2% HEAT DAMAGE IS SUBJECT TO REJECTION.
-This is prorated if a fraction.
Total Damage:
5% is allowed. Over 5% there is a discount of 2% from the c/p for each 1% over.
OVER 10% DAMAGE IS SUBJECT TO REJECTION.
Infested:
Stones:
A discount of 3% from c/p will apply. NO TREATED OR COFO SEEDS ACCEPTED.
For 1-10 stones a discount of $0.05/cwt. Every stone after 10 there is a $0.01/cwt
discount.
Foreign Material (FM):
All FM is deductible from the gross. If the FM exceeds 12%, a discount of 1% from the
c/p for each 1% over 12% will be deducted.
-This is prorated if a fraction.
Other:
A discount of 3% from the c/p for sour and/or musty, heating, or low quality.
GRADE DETERMINATION SHALL BE ACCORDING TO THE U.S. OFFICIAL GRADES FOR SUNFLOWER SEED STANDARDS SET
FORTH BY THE FEDERAL GRAIN INPSECTION SERVICE OF THE U.S.D.A., EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 1997.
