Child Life Wish List

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
Division of Child Life
Wish List
Children admitted to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center receive the finest
medical treatment, emotional support, and loving care available anywhere. But children and
families in the hospital have other special needs that are met through the generosity of
individuals and organizations throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Your gifts of toys, handmade items, decorations, time, and more can go a long way towards
brightening a hospital stay. This wish list provides suggestions for items that you or your
organization can make or purchase to donate to the patients at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
Medical Center.
If you have questions about any of these suggestions please call the Division of Child Life at
513/636-8855 or [email protected]
Donations may be left at the information desk in the hospital’s main lobby. Please attach
your name and address to your donation as we would love to acknowledge your generosity
which you can use for tax deduction purposes.
 Due to infection control restrictions, we can only accept NEW items. Please avoid toys
with detachable parts (like button eyes) that can be removed, swallowed, or inhaled.
 The patient population includes many infants and toddlers. Please avoid toys that have
small, chokeable pieces, sharp pieces or toys that fall apart easily.
 Please, no violent themed toys.
 Please do not gift wrap donations.
The items that Child Life is currently most in need of are:
* New Release DVD's - Rated G & PG
* Teen items (e.g., bath & body items, CD players, craft kits, including model car kits, for children
ages 10 and over)
* Gift certificates (e.g., Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Target)

It is extremely beneficial to our patients when individuals/groups donate these items or organize a
