The Exalted Ruler’s Message
I would like to start out my December message wishing ALL
a good holiday season. This year has gone by really quickly.
One of our biggest events of December is the Memorial
Service on Sunday December 6th. The lodge dinner dance will be
December 12th. We will be having a party for the kids on
Saturday the 19th of December. We will also bring in 2016 on
December 31st. Please check the bulletin for those event details.
The Lodge hosted 27 veterans for lunch. Sally and I were in
attendance. I was able to visit with all that attended. Our Lodge
has over 250 veterans. These individuals are very special. Please
say thanks to those men and woman for their service.
We had a great group of people on Saturday November 6 th for the outside lighting
decorations. They were also back on Sunday to finish the decorating. I would like to give
a special thank you to Steve & Gail Whitehouse, Jason & Karen Beaudoin, Gary &
Denise Russ, their daughter Meagan and Bryan Norris. This effort was about eight hours
over the two days.
If you volunteer for any event please sign up for the monthly drawing for all
volunteers. We are drawing for a $25 visa card. Every time you would do an event sign
up for a chance in the drawing. The volunteer book is at the back bar.
I finally caught up for the year. The winners are as listed.
August – Candy Bartlett
September –Linda DeLaricheliere
October – Denise Russ
We always need volunteers for all the events at the Lodge. Please sign up on the
bulletin board in the members bar. Please also try to attend some of the events that we
have going on in December.
One last announcement, Moe DeCelles, PER, was nominated, voted on and installed
as Secretary at the November 19th membership meeting due to the resignation of our
current Secretary, David Blankemeyer. Thank you, David, for your dedicated service!
Have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season!
Regards,
December 2015

Elks Memorial Service
Sunday, December 6th, 1:00 pm
The first Sunday in December is dedicated to the memory of our departed Elks Members. In keeping with this
beautiful tradition, we will hold our annual Elks Memorial Day Service on Sunday, December 6th at 1 pm.
The families of our departed members will be attending as we memorialize their loved ones by lighting individual candles in their memory, and calling out their names.
It is fitting that we as Elks, in the brotherhood of Elkdom, honor those gone before us as “Elks are never forgotten, never forsaken”. Exalted Ruler, Wes Blair and the Lodge Officers will be conducting a special ceremony along with the Green Mt. Chorus, and representatives from the 158 Fighter Wing (USAF) as we remember, each in our own way, the warm smile, the reassuring look, and the comfortable touch of those we
held dear. This service is open to the public and all members and guests are encouraged to attend. A complimentary buffet luncheon will follow the ceremony. Please join us as we honor our deceased Elks brothers and
sisters.
