KMT #5

KMT #5 Activities of KMS
By Jacob Apo
Background Info
This will now make the 5th KMT
of this year. The topic I have
chosen for my activity I do at
Kamehameha School is the
winter concert. This year since
the middle school is under
construction, we had our
concert at the Bernice Pauahi
Bishop Chapel. First we had to
walk up to chapel from
kekuhaupio and then
immediately had to start
practicing for the concert. Then
we ate dinner outside the
chapel and changed clothes so
that we were prepared. then we
let the guest enter and we had
to prepare our instruments.
After we were ready the
beginning and intermediate had
to go on stage and play. We
then had to do the same thing.
After that we got all of our stuff
and went down and took
pictures. that was what
happened at our winter
concert.

Problem
The Violin is approximately 2 feet
and 8 inches. A Viola is about 2
feet and 10 inches. The Cello is
about 5 feet and 2 inches and
the Bass is about 5 feet and 8
inches. First convert feet into
inches. Then convert Inches into
centimeters. Then find out how
big the Bass is compared to the
Cello and how big the Cello is to
the Viola, How big the Viola is
compared to the Violin.
Solution
32 inches = 81.28 cm 34 inches = 86.36 cm 62 inches = 157.48 cm 68 inches = 172.72 cm
Violin
Viola Cello
Bass
172.72 - 157.48 = 15.24
154.48 - 86.36 = 68.12 86.36 - 81.28 = 5.08
Bass - Cello = difference Cello - Viola = Difference Viola - Violin = difference
What I did In My solution is that i had
to convert inches into centimeters.
Then I had to subtract the larger
number from the smaller to find the
difference in the length of the
instrument.
