Recognise equivalent fractions

Recognise equivalent fractions
Some fractions are equal to other fractions. We call them equivalent fractions.
Example: Hira has a pizza. She divides it into 3 equal pieces. She eats 1 piece,
1
so she eats 3 .
Leo buys a pizza too. He divides it into 6 equal pieces. He eats 2 pieces, so
2
he eats 6 .
1
2
Hira eats 3 . Leo eats 6 . They eat the same amount.
1
3
and
2
6
are equivalent fractions.
