Fresh Start Initiative
Library Waives Extended Use Fees in May
We won’t let unpaid library fees stop you from enjoying the summer and
participating in summer reading at your Library! To celebrate the completion
of the Library’s renovation, we are giving all patrons a one-time “fresh start” by
waiving all extended use fees incurred prior to May 15. In addition, extended
use fees will not be assessed for items returned or renewed between May 15
and May 31! Patrons who pay for lost or damaged material will receive a 50%
discount when the charges are paid in full at the Library prior to June 15.
Avoid extended use fees in the future by signing up for email pre-overdue notifications. Most items can be
renewed up to three times by logging into “My Account” on the Library’s website or by calling the Check Out
Desk. Sign up for LibraryElf (www.libraryelf.com) and test the new “Auto Renew” feature – your qualifying Library
material will be automatically renewed based on your preferred settings. LibraryElf “Auto Renew” is in the testing
phase so be sure to continue monitoring your account carefully. For more information, contact the Check Out
Desk at 630/393-1171 x100.
