US Bureau of Investigation Agent William Flynn is given the
assignment of flushing out the source of an assassination attempt
on New York millionaire John Rockefeller Jr., the wealthiest man
in America.
Along the way, Flynn uncovers an even more diabolical anarchist
plot which includes a deadly terrorist attack on Wall Street in
September, 1920. Flynn’s roguish style and reputation clashes with
then US Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer and sets the stage
for a timely drama with resoundingly similar parallels to many of
today’s most highly controversial and contemporary issues. Flynn
enters the world of anarchy and homegrown terrorism during the
Red Scare of the early 1900s.
His mission puts him on the trail of a violent and determined group
of anarchists led by Luigi Galleani, whose followers included the
infamous Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti.
