Directions to Artesani Park – WALK DAY
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Shuttle Vans from the Central Square T will be available from 9:00am-1:30pm. Wait on Mass Ave in front of Cambridge Savings Bank.
Or From the Harvard Square T, take the #86 bus (toward Brookline)
Or From Central Square (Cambridge), take the #70 or #70A bus (outbound to Waltham)
Or From Cleveland Circle (Brookline), take the #86 bus (toward Cambridge)
Exit any of these buses at the corner of Western Ave. and Everett St. (382 Western Ave.). Then Walk toward the Days Hotel
and through the Hotel parking lot to Soldiers Field Road. Artesani Park is across the street – over the foot bridge for T and bus
schedules, call the MBTA at 617-222-3200
Or From Dudley Station, take the #66 bus (toward Harvard Square via Allston) and exit at N. Harvard St. and Kingsley St. Walk
toward Kingsley St., turn left on Spurr St., continue on to Western Ave and follow the walking directions above.
CARS
For Cars – From I-93 North or South and Boston
Follow signs for Storrow Drive West. The Charles River will be on your right the entire way.
Travel along Storrow Drive West for just under 5 miles. Follow signs to “Newton/Arlington”
Note: Storrow Drive becomes Soldiers Field Road about 3 miles into the journey.
You will come to a sign that reads “Arlington/Route 2 Fresh Pond Parkway and Newton”
Bear left at the flashing yellow light (there are 3 flashing yellow lights, all of which you should stay to the left of)
20 yards ahead, go through the traffic signal. Stay left. Harvard Stadium athletic fields will be on your left.
Travel ½ mile further along Soldiers Field Road.
Artesani Park will be on your right directly across from WBZ and the Days Hotel.
To Auxiliary Parking on Soldiers Field Place, follow directions below.
For Cars – From the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90 East or West)
Take the “Allston/Cambridge” exit; head in the “Cambridge” direction.
Go through the traffic light at the Doubletree Guest Suites.
Just after the next traffic light 20 yards ahead, and before crossing the River Street Bridge, (which spans the Charles River) turn
left onto the service road which parallels Storrow Drive (on the left) and the river (on the right).
Follow the signs for “Newton/Arlington”.
Go through the Western Avenue traffic light 2/10 mile ahead.
Go under the yellow overhead sign reading “Danger Low Clearance – Cars only” and onto Soldiers Field Road.
Go 1 mile to the flashing yellow light.
20 yards ahead, go the rough a traffic signal. Stay left.
Harvard Stadium athletic fields will be on your left.
Travel ½ mile further along Soldiers Field Road.
Artesani Park will be on your right directly across from WBZ and the Days Hotel
AUXILIARY PARKING
Auxiliary Parking will be available courtesy of the Harvard Real Estate and other friends. Shuttles will be available from Soldiers Field
Place and other satellite lots to the WALK site at Artesani Park.
From Artesani Park to Main Satellite Parking location at Soldiers Field Place:
Cars: As you exit the park, fit in the left-hand lane and go under the overpass for “cars only.” Buses: Stay to the right to take the
ramp up (to avoid the underpass) and continue straight to get back onto Soldiers Field Road.
Continue along Soldiers Field if the double yellow line was not there, you would make a U-turn in the Martignetti Liquors
parking lot. However, because you cannot turn left, continue on past Staples, McDonalds, IHOP to the island – going toward
Artesani Park.
Continue back past all of those buildings, and make a right just past the Acura dealership. There is a big FOR LEASE sign in front
of the building. Look for Parking signs and attendants. Other parking will be available if lots fill up. Parking attendants will be
available to assist you with directions.
VANS & BUSES Vans, handicapped people, and buses only will be allowed on the main parking site. Yet we have plenty of close
parking – it would be very helpful if you would contact NAMI Mass, [email protected], or 781-938-4048 with how many buses
and/or vans your group is bringing to the event.

BUSES: From I-95/Rt128
Take I-90E to the “Allston/Cambridge” exit.
Follow signs toward “Allston/Brighton” (this should put you on Cambridge Street).
Travel West on Cambridge Street ½ mile.
Turn right onto N. Harvard St. Travel ½ mile.
Turn left at Western Ave. (runs parallel to Soldiers Field Road).
Turn right onto Everett Ave. You should see the Stadium Auto Body and Brighton Mills Shopping Center.
Follow this road to the intersection of Everett and Soldiers Field Road.
At that intersection turn left and IMMEDIATELY get into the right-hand lane, proceed approximately 10 yards to the entrance of
Artesani Park.
Turn right into park. At entrance, turn left so that the traffic island is on your left and pull as far forward as possible. Allow
passengers to disembark.
When route is clear in front of your bus, move back out onto Soldiers Field Road going to the right.
BUSES: From I-93
Take 90W to the “Allston/Cambridge” exit.
Follow signs toward “Allston/Brighton” (this should put you on Cambridge Street).
Travel West on Cambridge Street ½ mile.
Turn right onto N. Harvard St. Travel ½ mile.
Turn left at Western Ave. (runs parallel to Soldiers Field Road).
Turn right onto Everett Ave. You should see the Stadium Auto Body and Brighton Mills Shopping Center.

Alternate Bus Route:
Buses – From I-95/Rt128, take 90E to the Allston/Cambridge exit. Follow signs toward Allston/Brighton onto Cambridge
Street. Take a right onto N. Harvard St. at Western Ave (runs parallel to Soldiers Field Road), take a left. Follow Western 1 mile to a set
of lights at a rotary. Cross the Arsenal Bridge (toward the Arsenal Square Mall). Once over the Bridge, take an immediate right onto
Greenough Blvd. Follow Greenough Blvd. 1½ miles to the Elliott Bridge on the right. Cross the bridge and veer right back onto Soldiers
Field Road. Go ½ mile to the entrance to Artesani Park.
Buses – From I-93, take Mass Pike Rt. 90 to the Allston/Cambridge exit and follow directions above
NOTE: Buses are NOT ALLOWED on most of Soldiers Field Road. Buses should follow these directions to Artesani Park and
drop off passengers. Buses then will be asked to leave the park and return at their designated time. Drivers you can drive where you
choose or you can go out of the park and take a right, then take a right up on the bridge. This is the Arsenal Bridge – make a right going
toward the Arsenal Square Mall. You can go down toward Arsenal St. and there are plenty of Warehouses and places to park buses.
As you leave the Arsenal Shopping area, go back the same way, but follow signs to Cambridge – make a left at the light before your go
over the Arsenal St. Bridge. This puts you onto Greenough Blvd. Follow Greenough Blvd. 1½ miles to the Elliot Bridge on the right. Take
the right and cross over the bridge and veer right back onto Soldiers Field Road (toward Newton). Go ½ mile to the entrance to Artesani
Park.
