Birthday Lunch: First Tuesday of Each Month, Noon– Celebrate the month’s birthdays and enjoy a fried chicken lunch.
$5 per person.
Luncheon, Third Tuesday Each Month at Noon - $5 per person.
Meet and Eat: Last Tuesday Each Month at 11:30. Meet or carpool and enjoy lunch at Rib Crib. 16th & Harvard.

Acting Fundamentals: taught by Julie Tattershall, who is offering her services for free! Much laughter to be had, join
us! Look for new days and times on the calendar page.
Cards & Games: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Enjoy a variety of cards and games.
Creative Writing Group/Storytelling: Fridays at 1:00 p.m. – Explore your creative side with this great group, led by Bill
Mendell.
Grumpy’s Breakfast: Fridays at 8:30 a.m. –

In Stitches Thursdays at Noon - Bring a sack lunch and join this circle of friends. Show your handiwork and stitch along
with other members or just come watch and keep each other ‘in stitches’ Led by Diane Skelley.
Sketching with Mary, Thursdays at 12:30 – Bring a sketch pad and pencil and learn to draw. Instructor: Mary Jobe.
Tips are appreciated.
Singing with Adrienne, Thursdays at 9:30- Join Adrienne Gilley each Thursday morning for a sing-a-long!
Percussion /Rhythm Class – Wednesdays @ 1:00 – meet in the gym for I-Ching drumming. No experience required.
Origami and Paper Crafts- Monday, April 3rd ONLY from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tyler and Leland Peters are bringing some
beautiful designs for us to learn. Come check it out!
Health & Fitness
Sculpt & Tone: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. – Strong muscles help improve balance and
overall fitness. The class uses a DVD and changes the routines for variety.
Foot Care on April 5th. Caring Nurses Association is the new name for Visiting Nurses and are the same
professionals trained in the foot care needs of seniors. Professional foot care is especially important for diabetics.
Appointments required, call 744-6760. $38 fee is payable to nurse at time of service.
Line Dancing: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. – Jump in line with other East Side Senior
Center members and dance away the pounds and blues. This is our most popular activity!
Tai Chi, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 – Meeting upstairs and using a DVD, this class works to help
with balance and coordination. Free for members.
Walking in the Gym: Daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – The gym is available for walkers Monday through Friday
(except during exercise classes and when other activities are being held in the gym).
Gym Time: Gym available for walking and other activities when there are no scheduled events on the calendar.
Functional Movement: Tuesdays, Thursdays at 10:30 – Personal Trainer, Brenda Weaver, leads the class
through strength training exercises using sand bells and resistance bands. Great Workout! $5 per class.
Chair Exercise: Thursdays at 11:00 in the back room. You can get a great workout in your chair. Come try it! Free
with membership.

Walkers: Every day you are encouraged to utilize the gym as long as it is available. Please check the
calendar page for details on classes and activities. If we have a change in our schedule, we will update you
as soon as possible with a flyer on our information table.

We are introducing a new way to express
your suggestions and concerns with East Side
Senior Center. A one-hour class time will
begin in April and continue monthly. It will
be listed as “Feedback Forum” and be held on
the 2nd Wednesday of every month. This
month it will be at 3:00p.m. due to the Acting
class at 2:00. Tamra Moore from LIFE Senior
Services will be joining us.
