2016 SOUTH ESK SPRINT MEET
LAUNCESTON AQUATIC CENTRE

(warm-up @ 2.00 p.m. – competition commences @ 2.30 p.m.)
Format of Meet
Timed Finals.
Medals
1st, 2nd, 3rd each event including 10&Us and
relay teams.

Swimming Rules
Dash for Cash: Senior (13 yrs & over)

 1st place $250 male and female
 2nd place $100 male and female
 3rd place $50 male and female
 4th-8th place $10 male and female
Dash for Cash: Junior (12 yrs & under)
Sponsored by Balmoral on York
 1st $125 male and female
 2nd $75 male and female
 3rd $50 male and female
 4th-8th place $10 male and female
All competitors are eligible for medals therefore
full Swimming Australia Rules apply.
Eight fastest senior males and females from 50m
freestyle (Events 1 – Event 10) qualify to
compete in male and female senior dash for
cash. To qualify swimmers must also enter one
other individual event (swimmer’s choice) on
the day.
Eight fastest junior males and females from 50m
freestyle (Events 11 – 14) qualify to compete in
the junior male and female dash for cash. To
qualify swimmers must also enter one other
individual event (swimmer’s choice) on the day.
PLEASE NOTE:
In the event of a tie for:
 1st and 2nd, prize money will be
combined and then halved. 3rd prize
place-getter will be awarded as
stated.
In the event of a tie for:
 2nd and 3rd, prize money will be
combined and then halved. No 3rd
prize money will be awarded.
In the event of a tie for:
 3rd and 4th, prize money will be
combined and then halved.
Relays (entry $15)
Late Entries

Competitors may swim in one (1) only
Mixed Freestyle Relay (Events 37 - 40).

Mixed Freestyle Relays are to have two
male and two female swimmers. Clubs
can enter multiple teams.

Competitors who swim in the Mixed
Freestyle Relay can swim in The South
Esk Curran Challenge Cup (Event 41).

Club Relay Teams which enter the
Curran Challenge Cup (Event 41) are to
have one boy and one girl of the ages of
10/under, 12/under, 14/under and 15 &
Over (not necessarily swum in this
order). Clubs can enter multiple teams
for Curran Challenge Cup (Event 41).
Maximum eight teams.
No late entries will be accepted.
