school campus. The building was designed by Theodore Wierra and was built by
the Pacific Construction company and cost $226,961. It is 12,408 square feet.
Keawe means the strand. It is refering to a long line of ancestors. In Samuel M.
Kamakau book the Ruling Chief of Hawai‘i names more than twenty chiefs who
carried the name Keawe. In the gym there are a lot of things that go on there.
Every monday morning we all gather in the gym to chant the middle school chant
and pray to start of the week. We also have dances there and MOYA. Sometimes
