• First major construction activity of subway at La Brea.
• Length of pile installation will be on Wilshire from Orange Dr.
to Detroit St.
• Pile installation includes:

Rig to construct 95ft (L) deep hole on 7 center to center spacing
Crane lifting 95Ft (L) , 24 Inch H-piles into holes
1-2 piles per day, 390 piles total
Drilling, pile installation and backfilled concrete completed same
day
All work occurs behind a k-rail.
Operation anticipated to take approximately 4-6 months on
each side of the street.
Typical works hours 7am-11pm.
Wilshire will be reduced to two lanes each way during
construction.

surface while the station is constructed underground.
