Obituary Ms. Stephanie Pandora Flemming, affectionately known as “Boo,” was born on July 18, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the youngest child born to Mrs. Lillie Flemming and the late Deacon Johnnie Flemming. Stephanie went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. After high school, she furthered her education at Borough of Manhattan Community College. Viewing………………………………...….Funeral Directors As a child, Stephanie joined Wayside Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, where the late Reverend Theodis Hutcherson was the founding pastor and later under the leadership of the late Reverend Joe L Parker. While at Wayside, she was actively involved in several ministries to include: the choir, the Hutcherson Ensemble, junior usher, junior nurse, junior pastor’s aide, in addition, to various other ministries in the church. In 1990, Stephanie moved to Columbia, SC, and became was employed with Resource Information Center as a private investigator of credit card fraud. In 1991, when Stephanie’s parents moved to SC, she changed her church membership to the First Nazareth Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Blakely N. Scott. There, Stephanie was a faithful member for 23 years. Stephanie was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, where she sang soprano beside her mother. She was also involved in the Sanctuary Youth Choir, SIGN Ministry, and the Legal Aid Ministry. Stephanie was an avid reader and loved reading Danielle Steele’s books. She loved to sing. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and trying new recipes. Just like her father, Stephanie took pride in her appearance, and loved to dress well. Later, after his passing, Stephanie followed in her father’s footsteps and took over the family business, Clean Sweep, Inc. Scott Recessional Postlude She became ill with a brief bout of kidney disease. On October 3, 2007, she became a kidney recipient when her special family friend, Ashlei Jones, became her kidney donor. Stephanie was very involved with the National Kidney Foundation, and was an advocate for kidney health. Throughout her illnesses, Stephanie always remained faithful to God and fought the “good fight.” Ms. Stephanie Pandora Flemming leaves to cherish her fond memory: her loving daughter, Niya Wallace; her caring mother, Lillie Flemming; sisters, Brinder (Eric) Lawrence and Aretha (Alfred) Horton; brother, Thomas (Cheryl) Scott; maternal aunts, Rose Ann (Willie) Baxter and Frances O. Parker; paternal aunts, Louise Spencer and Barbara (Robert) Whitmore; one great uncle, Willie Lee McCreary; godchildren, Taniqua, Joye, Canaan, Brooke, Janiyah, and Justin; special children and caregivers, Reverend Darrius Graves and Kimberly Gillens; special cousin, Roxanne Parker; best friends, Greta Baxter and Seprina Jones; her kidney donor, Ashlei Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly.
