Mark 1:15: The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good
news!”
Luke 24:27, 44: And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said
in all the Scriptures concerning himself… He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still
with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and
the Psalms.”
John 20:22-23: And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive
anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Luke 8:39: Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told
all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
John 5:1: Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.
Matthew 21:12-13: Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling
there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is
written,” he said to them, “ ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den
of robbers.’”
Luke 4:16-20: He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went
into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was
handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom
for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of
the Lord’s favor.” Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes
of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, “Today this
scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Matthew 15:7-9: You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: “ ‘These people
honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings
are but rules taught by men.’”
John 4:23-24: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the
Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his
worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
