o Normally Jewish family trees would not include names of
women, only fathers and sons. There are 5 women
mentioned here: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba (wife
of Uriah), and Mary.
o What is something you know about each of them?
o Out of the 5 women, 3 had what would be considered by
their society as illegitimate births. Why would God
include these imperfect people in Jesus’ family?

o Thank God for how He is working in your family.
o Set a day on your calendar to go meet someone’s need
this Christmas and pray that God would use your family
to point that person to Jesus through helping them.

o Jesus was 8 days old when his parents dedicated Him at

have many presents on His first Christmas. His parents
gave gifts to God, and He was God’s Christmas present
to the world.
o How should we see presents during Christmas?
o Why was Jesus such an exciting present for Simeon and
Anna?

o Thank God for the best Christmas present in all history,
giving us Jesus, His one and only Son.
