September, they are listed in District 1, which appears to be in
Eastern Madison Co.; by November, they are in District 3, White Hall.
George is 34, Lavina, 28, and their children are: James, 9, Reubin,
5, John, 3, and Elizabeth, 4 months.
By 1860, Levina is a widow, age 37, living in the White Hall precinct,
with children John, 14, Elizabeth, 10, Ambrose, 8, and George, 6. The
place of birth for Ambrose and George is Washington Co., Ky., meaning
that George and Levina lived there from about 1851 to sometime before
1860. (The Munday's had property in both Madison and Mercer -- and
perhaps Washington -- Counties.) She is listed between her brother,
Andrew Munday, and Peyton Kidwell. Her personal property is valued at
$50.
In 1870, Levina, now 48, is living with John, 24, "Lizzie," 19,

Cornelison, formerly of Richmond, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in Roswell, Ga.
She was born in Richmond, on November 30, 1920, to the late Norman and Allie
Jenkins. She was a retired teacher and a member of Pond Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jamie (Bruce) Weiss and Carol (Doug) Moseman;
grandchildren, Joni Berto, Lee Ann Jones, Matthew Moseman and Stacy Moseman;
great grandchildren, Blaire, Brittany, Zachary, Anslee, Sam, Amanda, Julia, and

Wayne B. Jenkins, 81, of New Castle, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in
his residence. Son of the late Norman and Allie Mae (Christopher) Jenkins, he was
a lifelong farmer.
Wayne was a member of New Castle Christian Church, a New Castle Lions
Club past president and past president of the Henry County Country Club. He was a
board member of the Kentucky Charolois Association.
He was a highly-decorated WWII Army Veteran, given three Bronze Stars,
a Victory Medal, Theatre Ribbon and a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Cordie Walton and Anna Mildred
Corneilson; and four brothers, Wallace, Ernest, Merle and Thomas Jenkins.
He is survived by: wife, Ruth H. Jenkins of New Castle; two daughters, Mrs.
Mary Ann Scott and husband Kent of Frankfort, Connie Ray of Louisville; son,
Curtis “Buddy” Simpson and wife Kay of Elizabethtown; brother, Douglas H. Jenkins
of Richmond; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Prewitt New
Castle Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Anthony Pierce, pastor of New Castle
