2. In this Act—
" Pool" mean,: 111111 includes laud. billiards, bagatelle, or other
similar game; and pool-rloan" means the place kept by

"Owner" means and hieludes any person wh), as prooprielor,
lessee, or otherwise, carries on the lousiness of keeping at
pool-room, whether such room be separate from or connected with other premises:
Youth" menus any young person under the age of eighteen.
3. This Act shall apply to those portions Of the Province which Application.
are not situate within the boundaries Of any municipality created
under the general municipal law or by it ',pedal Act.
4. No youth shall be permitted toy an owner or other person
be or remain in a pool-room, or to play pool or any other game
therein.

5. No youth shall be employed in any pool.roont for any purpose. youths.

morning, and shall also be kept closed on Kundays. During the
hours and times in which pool-rosons must be closed no game of
pool shall be played in any p/od-room, and all window blinds.

8. The Superintendent Of Provincial Police may, upon proof to
his satisfaction of any contravention of this Act toy an owner, and
without holding any formal or public
other hearing, either cancel
the licence of such owner under the Trade Licences Act," or
suspend such licence and the rights of the owner thereunder fur a
period of three months if it he a first contravention on the part o
the owner, and in the event of a second or further contravention of
this Act by the same owner, the Superintendent of Provincial Police
shall have power tit, 111111 shall, by writing under his hand, cancel
the raid lieenue. in the event of such cancellation, all the rights
of the owner under such licence shall, notwithstanding anything inn
the "Trade Licences Act" contained, forthwith abate and cease
absolutely.

this Act.

10. Every offence against this Act committed by- the employee.

oircucc of the owner, who shall he answerable for and shall be
punished ter such offence: Provided that nothing herein shall
abrAve the actual offender from guilt and punishment. but he too
shall be punished.

11. Where a person Is charged with an offence against this Act,
and the question of a youth's age is material, the youth shall be
deemed to be a ottilt us defined in this Act nuL:ss the contrary is
