I hope everybody’s Halloween sugar highs have worn off, cuz I’m about to throw some knowledge your way - so listen up! This month, we’re crazy about manicures! Yes, the pedicure’s somewhat less luxurious and sometimes ignored little sister. Well, I say it’s unfair!! The manicure may not be regarded in the same relaxing and pampering light as a pedicure, but that does not make it any less essential! And I’m here to tell you that it’s just not true. Think of how much we use our hands everyday. Opening doors, digging in purses and pockets, washing them over and over and over…trust me, you’re gonna see that a manicure is a well deserved and much needed treat. That’s because I want to make it really clear that just like a pedicure, a manicure is by no means just slapping some pretty polish on your fingers and calling it good! As I mentioned, think of all that our hands do for us. They read the morning newspaper, grip the steering wheel in rush hour traffic, scroll through countless emails (or clever newsletters from your local nail salon!) and that’s all before noon! Our hands get a work out in our world, so it’s only fair that we give them the break they deserve every once in a while! Did you know that the average person will wash their hands 6 times a day?
