CARING FOR HARDWOOD:
To maintain the finish on the table, wipe up spills as soon as possible,
and always use placements and coasters. Because dust can be abrasive,
use a dry, soft, lint-free cloth when dusting. Occasionally wipe with
a very lightly dampened soft cloth and mild detergent, and then dry with
a lint-free cloth immediately.
No more than twice a year, polish the tabletop by applying wax sparingly
with a clean, soft cloth working in the direction of the grain. Do not use
spray polish, which contains silicones that will build up over time and
ruin the finish.
When only parts of the table are in direct sunlight, move occasionally
to even out exposure. For the same reason, leave the center leaf in place
when possible to expose all parts of the tabletop consistently.
Wood is a natural material susceptible to expansion and contraction
caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Due to its nature,
it may develop minute splits that open and close during seasonal changes,
which is perfectly normal. To avoid excessive splits, we recommend
situating the table away from direct sunlight, heaters, air conditioners
and all other sources of extreme temperatures.

Leg Attachment
1. With the tabletop face down on a blanket
or soft surface, insert the leg assemblies
into slots on the apron, being sure the bolt
holes in the assemblies are facing toward the
middle of the table. Using the Allen wrench,
bolt legs in place with two long bolts with
washers per assembly, leaving the bolts
slightly loose to ensure holes for the short
bolts line up. Next, insert four short bolts
with washers per assembly, and fasten all
bolts securely.
2. With a helper, carefully lift the table off the ground, turn it right-side up,
and place it in the desired location. Lift the table by its long sides,
near the seam in the tabletop, where there is the most support.
Do not lift the table by its short sides.
