Take your business outside and meet in Montgomery Parks! The serene surroundings and comfortable charm of
Brookside Gardens, Rockwood Manor, Seneca Lodge, and Woodlawn Manor encourage creativity, spontaneity,
and participation and provide the perfect atmosphere for a successful meeting, retreat, or training session. Venues
provide on-site parking, tables and chairs, wireless Internet access, podium, screens, and easels. Rockwood Manor

Brookside Gardens is Montgomery Parks’s premier, awardwinning garden in the suburbs of our nation’s capital. From April
through October, its 50 acres and six spectacular gardens are
the perfect setting for your garden-inspired wedding or event.
Shimmering ponds, romantic gazebos, picturesque terraces,
intimate pavilions, and manicured lawns create unique settings
to make every occasion special and naturally beautiful.
Dine, dance, and celebrate in the contemporary Reception
Hall with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic view of the
Gardens. The Hall accommodates receptions and dinners, and
includes use of tables, chairs, and a warming kitchen. Or host a
small evening ceremony or light cocktail reception in one of the
two Conservatories. The light-filled, airy classroom with floorto-ceiling windows provides a perfect space for small Ketubah
signings, bridal party preparation, or celebratory gatherings.

Brookside Gardens offers a choice of meeting venues and packages.
The Auditorium/Reception Hall can accommodate 175 guests lectureroom style. It features panoramic views of regularly changing, spectacular
garden displays, a large pull-down screen, private entrance, and newly
remodeled warming kitchen. For small meetings or breakout and training
sessions, Brookside’s Adult Classroom is also available (capacity 40).
Enhance your meetings with guided tours or corporate volunteer programs. Entertain your attendees before and after hours in the Atrium and
Conservatories. Optional A/V equipment and IT support are available.

There’s something about the warm, solid wood and high ceilings of Seneca Lodge and the 26 acres
of woods surrounding it that encourages teamwork and creativity. The lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 175 people seated theater-style and is conveniently located in the I-270 Technology
Corridor. Attendees can relax and enjoy the far-ranging view from the deck between sessions, take
a walk down to Little Seneca Creek, or participate in group activities on the expansive lawn below.

Seneca Lodge is a handsome log cabin in upper Montgomery County with cathedral ceilings, a towering woodburning stone fireplace, and two large exterior decks. Rustic charm abounds with 26 acres of wooded parkland
and the lovely Little Seneca Creek on site… and the expansive lawn and rolling hills behind the Lodge are perfect
for reception fun and outdoor festivities. A sweeping wooden staircase descends from the lodge to a beautiful
30'x 60' tent (with cathedral sidewalls, twinkle lights, and a flagstone floor), available as a sheltered outdoor option.
The Lodge can accommodate 120 to 175 guests (indoors or out) depending on setup. Ample parking,
tables and chairs, and a warming kitchen for your caterer of choice are provided.

Nestled in 30 acres of woods just outside Washington, D.C. and steps away from the C&O Canal,
Rockwood Manor is a charmingly comfortable home for your special occasion. Built in the 1920s, the
manor was the former country estate of Carolyn Gangwer Caughey. With seven adjoining indoor event
spaces and overnight lodging for up to 115 people, Rockwood Manor is ideal for wedding weekends,
family reunions, and other special occasions when guests want to stay together, relax, and celebrate.
Overnight accommodations include 10 hotel-style guestrooms with private baths, a three-bedroom
cottage, and three bunkhouse cabins with central heat and air.
Hold your ceremony outdoors in Rockwood’s picturesque gazebo, tucked into the manicured garden
and bowling lawn, or under the tree canopy on the flagstone terrace. Then dine and dance in Brooke
Hall, with its exposed beam ceiling and view of the woods, or the elegant Hoover and Rapidan
Rooms. The manor can accommodate up to 130 people indoors in any one area and, with a tent,
up to 200 people outdoors.
Rockwood provides tables and chairs, ample on-site parking, and lovely dressing rooms for the bride
and groom; as well as one complete and one warming kitchen for your caterer of choice.

Rockwood Manor’s seven different rooms allow for flexible layouts for groups as
large as 110 in one room and break-out sessions for as many as 80 or as few as
four. Rockwood’s overnight accommodations and on-site catering options make it a
smart and affordable home for business retreats, multi-day meetings, seminars, and
workshops. And the surrounding woods and beautiful outdoor spaces (including a
campfire ring) are perfect for team-building activities.
After the day’s work is done, relax in rocking chairs on the brick veranda, or allow us
to arrange kayaking, hiking, or bicycling activities for your group. Excellent rock-climbing
opportunities are just down the road in Carderock Recreation Area in the C&O Canal
National Historic Park, and Falls Road Golf Course is nearby.

Sitting atop rolling green hills in historic Sandy Spring, Maryland, Woodlawn Manor offers a beautiful
pastoral setting for weddings, receptions, gatherings, and other social events. The charming eighteenthcentury Georgian-style manor house, historic log structures, stone barn, grazing horses, and wooden
fences combine to take you back to a slower, simpler time. The manor and its outbuildings are believed
to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Five beautifully decorated rooms with hardwood floors and period furnishings can comfortably accommodate up to 50 guests seated and 100 standing. Outdoors, as many as 150 guests can gather in the
picturesque gazebo garden and beneath the shelter of an elegant tent nestled on the five-acre landscaped
lawn behind the Manor House. The 30’x 60’ tent, which comfortably seats 120 people for dinner and
dancing, features cathedral window side walls, chandelier and perimeter lighting, a herringbone pattern
brick floor, and gracefully lit brick pathways.
