We would like to introduce you to Miami Acting Company, which is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit
community theater company in the hopes that you will consider joining our family of sponsors, without
whose support we could not exist.
Miami Acting Company was established in 2006 by a dedicated group of individuals, to promote an
awareness and appreciation of the performing arts by providing exceptional live theatrical performances
in under-served areas in both Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. In addition to providing quality theatre
at very affordable prices, we are also unique in that we support philanthropic causes in these areas by
allowing other charitable organizations to utilize our productions for their fund raising efforts.
Over the years, our company has grown by overcoming many challenges and now enjoys numerous
accolades through having carefully selected such productions as CATS, A Chorus Line, Company, The
Producers, Chicago, No Exit, The Odd Couple and The Sunshine Boys.
This year we have been granted the rights to perform the beloved and long running musical, Man of La
Mancha, winner of 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Composer. It is being performed
April 5, 6, and 7 at the historic Banyan Bowl at the Pinecrest Gardens in Pinecrest, Florida.
Man of La Mancha has a wonderful musical score that includes, "The Impossible Dream” and “I am I
Don Quixote." Man of La Mancha is a remarkable show and one of the great theatre successes of our
time. This is a play-within-a-play, based on Miguel Cervantes' "Don Quixote." We have a poignant story
of a dying old man whose impossible dream takes over his mind. “It's All the Same,” “Dulcinea,” “I'm
Only Thinking of Him,” “The Impossible Dream,” “I Really Like Him” and “Little Bird” remain in your
thoughts and in your soul well after you see the show. His dream is every man’s dream. His tilting at
windmills is every man’s great adventure. Somehow, the footlights disappear, time is telescoped and the
"Man of La Mancha" speaks for humankind.
During these difficult financial times, funding for the Arts has been drastically reduced or completely cut.
We have been working tirelessly to make this production a huge success and we need your financial
support. When you become a sponsor you will be given special recognition in all of our advertising
materials as well as in our special promotions.
