In addition, the floor of the pit, which must
be free from stones and other sharp-edged
objects, be prepared as flat, level load-carrying
surface. We recommend laying a sand bed with
grain size of approx. 5-10mm.
Attention: if the pit floor is not strong enough,
then an approx. 10cm reinforced lean concrete
floor (D drawing 2) is to be cast. Where the
floor is badly-drainable (clay), then suitable &
sufficient drainage has to be provided!
The tank is to be lifted with at least 2 lifting straps (not in scope of supply) and suitable lifting
machinery (crane, excavator) and to be lowered into the pit evenly.
After positioning and connecting, the tank is to be filled with water to 2/3 full (volume).

Now, the space between tank and pit wall is filled with sand up to the height along the
length of the inlet/outlet connections by washing-in the sand (C drawing 2). This must be
performed manually.
Important Instructions
Halgan AQUA 204 tanks are designed to take
the weight of 11.5 tons axle load limit when all
installation conditions are adhered to.
•
The tower with cover is only built to carry
persons and has to have a separate cover for
heavier downward loads.
•
Installation in areas subject to flooding &
groundwater is only permitted when the level
of water does not exceed the height of the
middle of the tank. This can, among others,
lead to damage to the tank.
•
In areas of heavy, clay-like soils, the installation
is only permitted when there is sufficient
drainage underneath the body of the tank.
•
The Halgan AQUA 204 is designed for
installation inside level ground. Where the
ground inclines more than 8°, then a Civil engineer should be consulted.
•
Back material may only be compacted by hand-driven vibrating / compacting
equipment
