UMCOR Mission Trip
We have cancelled the trip to
Junaluska due to a large
increase in cost. We are instead
going to be traveling to
Baldwin, Louisiana to the
UMCOR (United Methodist
Committee On Relief) facility.
UMCOR is the international
warehouse and shipping point
for the majority of United
Methodist aid/relief shipments
to most US and international
locations. Trip is tentatively
scheduled for be June 20-27.
Thanks! The youth were a huge
help with the Easter Egg
preparation on Friday and hunt on
Saturday.
Thanks! We had a great response
from the congregation in bringing
eggs and candy. If you have any
plastic eggs to recycle we have
big blue containers near the back
entrance by the elevator for your
use. Just put them in the
containers and they will be
cleaned and recycled for next
year.
Young Adults
We have started a program for
young adults ages 18-25. If you
know someone in the age group,
please let them know what we are
planning. Sande has been
contacting people for whom she
has Facebook or email info but
will gladly take additional info.
Email or call anytime. Our next
activity will be Sunday April, 19th
after the 10:50 service. We will
meet in the gathering area and
then go to lunch with all who
want to join us!

it at your own home. We will
have appetizers at 4pm, salad at
5pm, vegetable at 6pm, entrée at
7pm, dessert at 8pm & popcorn
and a movie at 9pm. We would

Shirt Design Contest
We are doing a new JUMC shirt.
The winning designer will get a
free shirt. Anyone can submit a
design and it will be a design for
the church members to also wear to
events and when representing us. A
selection committee will make the
final decision. The design should
be appropriate for all ages and will
be put on a solid color polo shirt.
Be creative and use UMC themes
and JUMC themes or make up one
of your own. Please submit artwork
either on paper, canvas, by email in
JPEG or mail to the youth office @
[email protected]
or
youth mailbox in the church office
by April 15th at 1pm.

Devotional
Grace is God’s ability given to us and
placed upon us. You are saved by
grace, which means that there is
nothing you can do to earn your
salvation; it is a gift from God. It is
what God has done for you. I have
also seen that the disciples prayed
that God’s grace would be given to
one another often. The bible says
there is a gift of grace, just like there
is a gift of faith, leadership,
encouragement and others. When we
depend on God totally for His ability(
grace) to work through us, then we
look to his ability working through
us, and we no longer have to
consider only our own ability but that
God is working through us. That is
where the power to overcome
difficulties and also to minister to
others is found. I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me.
