EXPERIENCE AN EXTRAORDINARY EVENT! World travellers come to Churchill in the fall to witness polar bears
waiting for the ice to form on Hudson Bay so that they can resume seal hunting and break many months of fasting. We will
view the earth’s largest land carnivore from the safety of a Tundra Buggy®. The tour is enriched by sightings of other wildlife,
migrating and resident birds, historic Cape Merry and the Itsanitaq Museum.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS TRIP:
Leave Saskatoon via car pool at 8:00 am on November 9, 2017.
Return by 5:00 pm on November 16, 2017 via car pool (gas costs are
included in fees). Car-pooling organization will take place at pretrip meetings. Train berths may be available at www.viarail.ca.

Northern Studies Centre. The study centre is located on the
traditional polar bear migration route to the Bay. Staying at the
centre provides us an opportunity to meet and learn from researchers.
DATES: November 9–16, 2017.
• A full day on our private Tundra Buggy®. You will be delighted
with the opportunity to observe and learn about these
magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
• Opportunities to explore history, culture, geology, plant, animal
life and photograph within the 60 mile roadway area.
• A relaxing train adventure from The Pas, Manitoba to Churchill
through boreal forest, taiga and tundra.
• Our own bus in Churchill for wildlife viewing.
• Lectures in Saskatoon and in Churchill.
COST: $2,995 + GST. Deposit is 10% of fee (double/shared
accommodation) to secure your spot. Full fee due July 31, 2017.
COST INCLUDES: Accommodations at The Pas and Churchill, coach
train from The Pas to Churchill, local travel in Churchill, full day on a
Tundra Buggy®, and meals at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre.
