Post PNG Announces New Postage Rates Effective 1 September 2012

understanding current postal rates, especially From counmes like Papua New
Guinea and Tonga, both of which have
changed rates and overprinted stamps
no announcement or little explanatioa To get our hands on the press release for PNG September 2012 rate
changes is important enough to publish
here.
NEWPRICESFOR POSTAGE
STAMPS
Post PNG has made two changes
to its postage rate schedules. The first
change is in International Zoning:
International Letter Class Mail 50
grams or less (approximately 1.76
ounces) has 3 zones:
1. Australia, Solomon Islands
2. Fiji
3. AU Other
International Letter Class Mail
more than 50 grams has 6 zones.

The second change is in postage
rates:
International Letter Class Mail 50
grams or less:
1. Zone 1 = K 6.00
2. Zone 2 = K 8.00
3. Zone 3 = K 8.00
International Letter Class Mail
more than 50 grams (table on page
13).
Domestic rates for letter mail 50
grams or less = K 1.20.
