Digitalization is part of everyone’s life. It’s omnipresent, often not
understood and sometimes feared. You can’t escape its influence,
its appeal, its seduction. Technology presents us with the mirror
of the future and evokes strong, mostly polarizing emotions: Either ‘good’ or ‘bad’ – but never neutral.

At the international festival New ID we take our participants and
partners through an emotional journey where they get a chance
to experience and question their own feelings towards digitalization. They become trailblazers from all walks of life who have the
drive and power to transform.
Since New ID is all about human emotions such as love, hope,
fear, anger and joy – so is the scenery of our festival: Located at
the Spree and in between of some of the most well-known sites
steeped in Berlin’s history and overlooked by the famous East
Side Gallery, New ID’s home is much charged with emotions from
the past, the present and the future. While fear and anger were
dominating the German capital during the division into East and
West, Berlin is now known for celebrating the bright side of life
by hosting joyful parties and providing a home for visionary people from all parts of the world. Berlin and New ID are creating an
optimistic, hopeful vision of our society. Come and join us for your
transforming journey through historical sights, hidden treasures
and the club and art culture of Berlin.
