The Aurora Project is hosting an event on the 23rd October in Sydney which will bring together high achieving
Indigenous students from around the country, as well as government representative officials, key stakeholders,
supporters and distinguished guests.
Ideally, the volunteer/s would play a key role in the management and administration of the event over the next 4
weeks. This role is part-time (2 days per week) unpaid volunteer opportunity for one or two event management
students or graduates.

of specialists in native title, Indigenous education and Indigenous affairs more generally to deliver programs and
services across Australia.

The Aurora Project is hosting its annual scholar reception on the 23rd October in Sydney; an event which will bring
together high achieving Indigenous students from around the country, as well as government representative
officials, key stakeholders, supporters and distinguished guests.

When do you need your volunteers for and how long? Include dates and approximate times etc.
Aurora is offering a part-time (2 days per week) unpaid volunteer opportunity for event management students or
graduates. Ideally, volunteers would play a key role in the management and administration of the event over the
next 4 weeks.

What duties will the volunteers be doing?
Volunteers will be responsible for all logistical arrangements associated with the event. This may include making
travel arrangements (booking flights, airport transfers etc.) for attendees coming from out of state, finalising
accommodation, managing invitee list, preparing materials and key resources for the evening as well as liaising with
guests, Aurora staff and other key coordinators.
