SPACE: THE FINAL FRONTIER
You may have heard of the term “kerning” at some point or another,
and probably by someone within your ad agency. Kerning is simply
the process of reducing or adding space between letters in a word
or phrase. As opposed to adding space between you and a sibling.

PMG TODAY’S “Perspective Corner”
Phoenix Marketing Turns 30!
I went to buy some camouflage pants the other day, but I couldn’t find any.
It’s almost impossible to believe but, on April 11,
2009, Phoenix Marketing Group, Inc. officially
turned thirty years old. Jean and I have been
looking at each other lately and just shaking our
heads. Okay, okay, you’re right...we do that all
the time, but this time it’s because of the history
we’ve made.
It’s hard to fathom that, in April of 1979 (I was
28 and Jean was 24!), the two of us set out on a
trek that we knew almost nothing about, and
without a nickel in our pockets. And today, look
at us! We’ve got a nickel in our pockets! But
we’re proud! Proud of the things we’ve
accomplished over those years, and proud to
have worked with some of the most amazing
people in the industry, both on the employee
side and the client side.
We’ve gained a lot of recognition in the
process, and achieved a pretty commendable
reputation, which we are both very humbled by.

Having been the agency of record
