Prior to 1973 net caught salmon was
valued at the cash buying price or mlnlmum
prices negotiated
by the United Fishermen
and Allled Workers Union and the Flsherles
Assoclatlon
of British
Columbia.
Since 1973
actual prices pald on the flshlng
grounds
have been used because competltion
for salmon
has resulted
in higher than mlnimum negotiated
prices belng pald.
